Most Americans know that we should stop smoking, eat natural food, exercise regularly, get plenty of rest and take at least a multiple vitamin daily. Sadly, knowing and doing are two very different things as proven by the fact that more and more of us are becoming obese and finding out that we have diseases such as Type II Diabetes. Apparently, Americans are not the only ones interested in natural aging. Rance, which is a French company, has even named one of its fragrances Age Natural.
Anyhow, in an effort to undo what we have done, many people, especially baby boomers, are striving to age naturally and ward off illness and diseases by consuming more natural food and becoming educated about health products and healthy lifestyles. Numerous websites are devoted to furnishing information on fitness and health education, skin care products, general health and wellness, and even natural healing by thinking yourself healthy through visualization.
Modern technology is also instrumental in our quest for all natural anti-aging products. It seems that every day scientists are coming out with new information on health and nutrition. I read an article yesterday about the fact that scientists are finding results from testing done on mice that seems to indicate walnuts may help in stopping the growth of cancerous tumors. You can't get much more natural than walnuts!
Science has also enlightened us regarding exercise. It has proven that exercise is not only good for men, women and children's bodies, but exercise also has a beneficial effect on our mental well-being. We used to think that brain cells were what they were and that was it. Now we know differently. Exercise releases a growth hormone that actually causes cells in your brain to grow! Exercise also reduces tension and stress, lifts your mood and helps with depression.
In addition to exercise, women are extremely interested in skin care. The new mineral formulas are generating huge amounts of interest. However, women are starting to realize that it isn't only what you put on your skin that gives you beautiful skin. It involves eating well-balanced, drinking at least eight glasses of water daily, getting plenty of rest, taking vitamins and having a daily regimen of skin care. Those of us over fifty even have a full line of products devoted just to our age. Of course, the lines for care of different types of skin have been around for a while.
